Message from the Program Director
Businesses today face an increasingly complex and dynamic environment, shaped by the restructuring of global supply chains, digital transformation, sustainability, and changes in international trade. In this context, international business has evolved beyond understanding overseas markets into a discipline that analyzes global business phenomena and identifies future opportunities through the economic, social, and cultural characteristics of countries around the world.
By combining HUFS’s strengths in foreign languages and area studies with business education, our International Business program seeks to develop researchers and professionals with a deep understanding of global markets and an international perspective. Students study international business strategy, global innovation, overseas market entry, international competitiveness, sustainability, and other topics, gaining insight into complex global business phenomena.
Our goal goes beyond preparing people who understand the world. We aim to nurture researchers and professionals who can interpret changes in global markets, discover new value, and contribute to the advancement of global business.

Message from the Program Director
Management Information Systems studies how information technology and data affect organizations, businesses, industries, and society. Advances in artificial intelligence, big data, platforms, digital transformation, and other areas are reshaping how businesses compete and make decisions, while creating new business models and social value.
Our Management Information Systems program aims to develop researchers who can systematically analyze and explain the causes and consequences of these changes. Students investigate the adoption and use of information technology, data-driven decision-making, digital innovation, platform ecosystems, artificial intelligence and organizational change, and other topics, exploring the new phenomena and value emerging from the convergence of technology and management.
We seek to prepare researchers who can understand and explain the management phenomena created by information technology and generate new knowledge, going beyond professional proficiency in using technology. In doing so, we nurture future researchers who can offer insights into the challenges facing businesses and society in the digital age and contribute to academic and industrial advancement.
